The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Every piece of jewelry tells a story, but the journey behind it is a masterclass in patience. Selecting components is demanding, selective, and deeply emotional. It is a world of the good, the bad, and the ugly.

The Known Secret

When I started my business 20 years ago, I built it on a foundation that was deeply appreciated in Europe but practically unknown in the US: Swarovski crystals. Even today, they are the crown jewel of high fashion, trusted for red carpet couture.

What captivated me then—and still makes my eyes sparkle today—is their unparalleled color and brilliance. They are masterfully produced, showing an incredible resistance to time, scratches, and fading. You instantly know it isn't generic glass or plastic.

The Beautifully Imperfect

The real magic happens when I pair this precision with natural precious and semiprecious stones. But this is where the journey gets hard.

Natural stones are never perfect. A single production run brings a massive amount of waste, leaving behind single, orphaned stones to wait in my vault for years. When hunting for these gems, my obsession is the cut. The right cut dictates how a stone reflects light, creating a perfect harmony with the crystals. Because natural stones vary so wildly, finding that match is incredibly difficult, making it almost impossible to reproduce the exact same piece twice.

The Inspiration & The Drop

Over two decades, I have become a collector of these vintage crystals and rare stones. They sit in my vault until the exact right inspiration strikes.

My collections always begin with a strict color palette and a story, often inspired by cinema. For example, my exquisite Crown Collection was born from the regal, opulent mood of the movie Elizabeth starring Cate Blanchett.

When I finally decide to do a drop, it isn’t just a release of product. It is the revival of a 20-year history, resulting in a piece that can effortlessly take an outfit from day to night—entirely unique, rare, and impossible to replicate.
